Cleaning your touch screen

Basic Cleaning of the touchscreen

Please share this with your janitorial staff as well in order to keep your touch screen kiosks as clean and germ free as possible.

  • We recommend creating a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% distilled water. You want to use distilled water (rather than tap) and purer alcohol so there are fewer chemicals or minerals left behind when the solution evaporates.

  • Fill a spray bottle with the diluted alcohol, lightly moisten a lint-free, preferably microfiber, cloth (no paper towels) and gently wipe the screen to kill unwanted bacteria. Then use a dry corner of the cloth to remove any excess liquid on the screen. Never spray directly onto the device.

  • To stay effective, you should try to clean your screens at least once a day.

  • To add, it may be best to provide the cleaning solution and wipes for users of the kiosk…so that they have full control over cleaning the screen prior to their use.
