If your player is showing a Connection Error - Cannot Connect to Screenseed.io, please attempt these troubleshooting steps.

For Wireless Connection (WiFi)

If the connection used to work:

  1. See How to resolve a wireless connection issue.
  2. Submit a support ticket for further investigation.

If this is the first time connecting the media player:

  1. See Media player control
  2. View the Connect to a wireless network.

For Wired Connection (LAN)

If the connection used to work:

  • Check that the network cable is connected and that the ethernet port lights are on or blinking.

    No lights could mean:
  1. The RJ45 connector network jack isn't functioning or hasn't been terminated and plugged into the local network.
  2. The network is not issuing a DHCP address or is wanting a Statically defined address.
  3. The ethernet cable between the media player and the port is faulty.
  4. The LAN port on the media player has gone bad or a software driver issue has occurred.

If this is the first time connecting the media player:

  1. Verify that outbound internet access is allowed to the media player and the proper URLs and ports are open on your firewall.
  2. Verify that DHCP is working or that the Static IP address is correct.
  3. Update the connection DNS to Google: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4.
